Drones + Movie Trailer Production
White Camp Workshops
Date & Time:
Feb 25 - Mar 1
$ 200/ student
We all know that drones are super fun to fly and to perform stunts. But what if we can combine this fun with computer code to make it even more interesting? This course is a great introduction to Aerospatiale engineering discipline, where students learn the fundamentals of quadcopters flight systems and operations. Afterwards students use professional software and hardware to create a movie trailer. Through this process students learn how to engage their audience and learn about the fundamental elements of a good movie trailer.
Learning coding concepts such as loops and conditional statements.
Learning mechanical concepts such as quadcopters operation.
Learning how to think and develop algorithms to solve Aerospatiale engineering challenges.
Learning mechanical and computer science notions while building amazing flight systems for their drones (Auto pilot system, Manual pilot system, Coded controller…).
Learning how to use professional editing software.
Learning how to use professional hardware such as video cameras, lights, tripods etc.
Understanding the fundamental design of a trailer in terms of editing, music, voice over.
Collaborating with others on a common project.
