Course Description:

Scratch is a block based programming language that makes it easy to create interactive stories, animations, games, music, and art and share projects on the web. It is the best first programming language for young coders. 
In this course, students will learn basic programming concepts such as loops, functions and conditionals. They will also develop sequential thinking skills, practice problem solving and debugging, learn through trial and error, and exercise their creativity.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Learn the fundamentals of computer programming such as events, loops, conditional statements and variables
  • Build solid interactive programs including video games, stories and animations which can be shared online
  • Develop sequential thinking to build a program from the beginning
  • Manage assets such as images and sounds 
  • Exercise creativity and problem solving skills
