Geek Express partners with St Joseph School Cornet Chehwan
Geek Express has partnered with Saint Joseph School by launching an after-school coding program for 91 students between the ages of 9 and 17, who are interested in taking part in the international Silicon Valley App Development Competition hosted by Geek Express.
Students are required to complete preparatory sessions within the program, whereby they will learn how to create their own apps on MIT App Inventor, with the help of Microsoft-certified trainers.
As a result of this partnership, St Joseph students will be guaranteed two spots in the Silicon Valley App Development finals in Abu Dhabi. We will host a local competition at the end of the school year to evaluate submissions that make it to the top ten. Out of 91 participants, only two will have the opportunity to attend the finals in Abu Dhabi, where they will represent their school and country, and present their app to a jury of renowned experts.
Through the Silicon Valley App Development Competition, Geek Express is offering a platform for students from around the world to demonstrate their tech skills and bring their vision to life, by creating and showcasing their own mobile app.
The Silicon Valley App Development Competition is so named, because the top two finalists will win a sponsored trip to Silicon Valley, which is the largest tech hub in the world.
